Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
The characters are at such a radically different place from where they started by the end of Warbreaker—and the glimpse we get of some characters in *certain other books* just makes me hungrier for another Warbreaker book!
American Gods by Neil Gaiman
Though I’m told Anansi Boys is a sort-of sequel, I would really like a direct sequel to this story. Maybe the success of the show will make this possible.
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
While the ending of Count is a satisfying one, I would still love to read more of the Dante’s adventures.
1984 by George Orwell
With one of the most frustrating endings of all time, I can’t help but want to read more of this story. Surely things can’t get worse, right?
Elantris by Brandon Sanderson
Another Sanderson book that supposedly will get a sequel someday, but I’m impatient. That being said, I still need to read The Emperor’s Soul, which is set in the same world.
Indiana’s Five
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
It’s one of my favorite books, so of course I think it deserves a sequel. One that we’ll never get.
Radio Free Vermont by Bill McKibben
Especially with an election coming up, it would be great to have a sequel to this fable.
Less by Andrew Sean Greer
Less was a hilarious and semi-depressing character to spend several hours of your life with, but there’s something in him and his story that I would like to return to.
Chemistry by Weike Wang
This was such a wonderfully entertaining and heart-breaking book. I would love to read a sequel just so I could spend more time with the protagonist.
The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall
This trippy, mysterious, and thrilling book definitely deserves a sequel.
