“He felt something . . . rumbling. A distant storm. Everything was light around him up here, the sun shining, making it difficult to believe that somewhere it was dark and tempestuous.” ~ Rhythm of War
The storms rarely reached this high. Today they had. Today, Kaladin reached the winds. And like everything else today, they tried their best to kill him. ~Brandon Sanderson, Rhythm of War
The sky was black as midnight, only without stars. The sun seemed too distant, too frail to properly lite the place, though he wasn't in darkness. ~Brandon Sanderson, Rhythm of War
Rhythm of War is the fourth entry in the massive epic fantasy series The Stormlight Archive. As we did with Oathbringer, we’ll be doing part-by-part reviews so you can read along and discuss with us.
We had a ton of fun doing part-by-part reviews of the third entry in The Stormlight Archive, and we look forward to continuing that tradition this year
This month was a good one for both of us. It was the first time in a while that we actually finished a decent number of books (though not necessarily the ones we’d originally planned to read, of course).
We Both have plenty of favorite authors, many of which are shared between the two of us, so putting this list together took little time at all.
We had a pretty busy June so that resulted in . . . not a lot of reading time. We’re hoping to make up for that in July and making pretty long TBR lists to encourage ourselves! (Because that always works, right?)
