Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases of the Second Half of 2021
Since we both plotted out our year of reading in advance, this was an easy topic. Thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl for another great Top Ten Tuesday!
Pete’s Three
Witch Hat Atelier vol. 8 by Kamome Shirahama – September 8th
This manga is so full of magic and wonder, and each volume has outdone the last. This volume will be a lovely treat to end the summer.
The Fall of Babel by Josiah Bancroft – November 9th
The third installment in the Books of Babel quartet was my favorite by far, and I have no doubt that the long wait for the final book will be worth it.
Cytonic by Brandon Sanderson – November 23rd
Sanderson really surprised me with Starsight, a sequel uncharacteristically distinct from its predecessor. I’m looking forward to the finale of this engrossing sci-fi series
Indiana’s Five
Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy – August 3rd
I loved Migrations, which was just released in the U.S. last year and I’ve been counting down to the release of this one. It sounds like it’s in the same vein of environmental/psychological lit as Migrations and I’m here for it.
Velvet was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia – August 17th
After reading Mexican Gothic last year, I’m intrigued by this noir style novel.
Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney – September 7th
I enjoyed her first two books quite a bit and have heard positive things about this one.
Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune – September 21
The House in the Cerulean Sea had captivating and heartfelt characters and it seems like this one may just have those too.
Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World by Benjamin Alire Sáenz – October 12
I read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe ages ago and I’m excited to see where Sáenz takes the storyline.
I also cannot wait for Velvet was the Night and Under the Whispering Door!
My post!

I didn’t even know about Velvet until I started looking around for books to write this post! It sounds amazing though.
