To say that things have been a bit crazy lately is an understatement. We’ve gotten away from blogging as you can probably guess from our complete lack of posts in the last few weeks.
However, we’re trying to get back on track and hope to be back on schedule after Christmas!

I’ve been seeing this one everywhere, and it sounds very mysterious—and unlike anything I’ve ever read.
The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang
Indi and I have been meaning to read this one for a while—now that the sequel is being met with as much acclaim as the first, I think it’s time to dive in.
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
I’m done waiting for a good excuse to read this classic—it’s time!
Darkmans by Nicola Barker
I found this one when looking up the favorite authors of my favorite authors (in this case, Ali Smith). The premise is utterly bizarre… I can’t wait.
The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
I’ve been itching to read some historical fiction lately, so I’m looking forward to this one.
Indiana’s Five:
The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
I really enjoyed The Bear and the Nightingale after sleeping on it for years. Thus, I have high hopes for the second in the trilogy.
Toil & Trouble by Augusten Burroughs
While I haven’t read Running with Scissors as so many have by now, I already like the style of Burroughs’ writing. Plus, the witch-focused plot fascinates me.
Westside by W.M Akers
This will be the first e-book I’ll have read in years so I’m looking forward to it for that reason and the storyline itself has already enthralled me and I’m only a chapter in.
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
This one has caught my eye in what has felt like every bookstore for a few years now and I finally picked bought it about a month ago. I haven’t read a book of historical fiction in a long time so I’m excited to dig into it.
