February TBR

January was a relatively good reading month for both of us. A few days of intense snow storms had us stuck inside and made for perfect reading days. We’re hoping February brings more of the same!

Pete’s January Wrap-up

The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson — Team review to come
Fox 8 by George Saunders — Review to come
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott — (I won’t be reviewing this one since Indi had a review so recently)

The Shame

Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson

I’m really struggling with this one… 300 pages to go and the four groups of characters are all just going on long walks to their deaths. Also, where are the characters from the first book? Also, what’s going on?

February TBR

Touch by Courtney Maum
The Curse of Chalion by Louis McMaster Bujold
Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers
The Hod King by Josiah Bancroft

The Search for WondLa by Tony DiTerlizzi —  Review to come
Finding Baba Yaga by Jane Yolen —  5 out of 5 stars
Quiet by Susan Cain —  4.5 out of 5 stars
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson —  Team review to come

The Shame

Gardens of the Moon by Steven Erikson

Although Pete really enjoyed this one, I could not get into it. After reading about 200 pages, I’m going to give up on this one for now.
