Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books with Good Love Stories

This week’s topic is a Valentine’s Day freebie, so we put together a list of our favorite love stories. We don’t read many romance novels, but there are still some wonderful love stories among our favorite books. Thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl for another great Top Ten Tuesday!

Indiana’s five
The Edge of Everything by Jeff Giles
This fast-paced novel has a convincing and sweet relationship between two teens at the heart of it.

Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
Besides the obvious romance between Rachel and Nick, there are several other secondary romances throughout the series that are just as convincing.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
I had to.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
It may seem odd to put this one on here but the complicated relationship between Natasha and Daniel hooked me from start to finish.

The Bear and the Nightingale series by Katherine Arden
Again, it probably seems strange to put this one on here but those who have finished the series will know why.

Pete’s five four
Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson
Nothing I’ve read tops the relationship between the stubborn Major Pettigrew and free-spirited Jasmina Ali. This is about as wholesome and heartwarming as it gets.

The Book of Atrus by Rand Miller, Robyn Miller, and David Wingrove
While not strictly a love story, the relationship between Atrus and Catherine binds this world-crossing adventure together.

Girl Meets Boy by Ali Smith
This bite-size book follows Anthea and Robin’s powerful relationship through an unusual retelling of the myth of Iphis. Smith somehow manages to make you feel as if you are a part of the relationship in this joyful book.

The Matt Cruse Trilogy by Kenneth Oppel
The teenage relationship between Matt Cruse and Kate De Vries is the centerpiece of this adventurous steampunk series, and they’ve always been one of my favorite literary couples.
