Top Ten Tuesday: Fall TBR

This week’s topic has us looking ahead at our Fall TBR lists. Thanks to That Artsy Reader Girl for another great Top Ten Tuesday!

Pete’s Five

The Memory of Souls by Jenn Lyons

I thoroughly enjoyed the complex narrative puzzle that is The Ruin of Kings and can’t wait to see the story continue in the latest entry in the Chorus of Dragons series.

Do You Dream of Terra-Two? By Temi Oh

I keep putting this one on my monthly TBRs but have yet to get around to it. I love a good single-setting book, especially one set on a spaceship travelling to a distant planet.

The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain.

Though I adore Twain, I haven’t read nearly enough of his work. I managed to pick up a great illustrated copy of this classic from 1937 that I can’t wait to crack open.

The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones

An interview with Jones on NPR had me immediately sold on this spooky novel. It should make for great Halloween reading.

Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson

It’s the latest Stormlight Archive book, and I’ve been devouring the preview chapters as they’re posted each week. I’ve been waiting for this epic fantasy tome for three years… what more is there to say?

Indiana’s Five

Fathoms: The World in the Whale by Rebecca Giggs

I got this one as a birthday present from Pete and I’m loving it so far.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkein

I haven’t read this one in years and when I saw that a few bookstagramers were doing a readalong it just seemed like the perfect excuse to pick it up again.

Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy

This one got great reviews and has such an intriguing premise surrounding animal extinction, climate change and adventure.

French Exit by Patrick DeWitt

A fellow reader recommended this one on Twitter and likened reading it to eating a chocolate croissant, an experience I can get behind.

The Strangers by Margaret Peterson Haddix

Pete and I got talking about some of our favorite Haddix books that we read growing up and instead of revisiting some of my favorites, I decided to look into some of her newer books. This one combines mystery and adventure.
